Hudson Valley Wineries

Hudson Valley WineriesBreathtaking views, great art, top quality restaurants and award-winning wineries. We have a lot going on in our beautiful Hudson Valley. If you’re a wine and spirits lover and connoisseur, you’ll probably want to spend some of your time touring these wineries and distilleries:

Hudson-Chatham Winery

This is Columbia County’s first winery! Hudson-Chatham Winery, located in Ghent, New York, has won many awards since opening in 2007. Awards include gold medals from the New York State Fair, Hudson Valley Wine and Grape Association, NY Food & Wine Classic, and the Dallas Morning News Wine Competition. The winery was also featured in a recent article on the Hudson Valley in Wine Enthusiast magazine. Visit Hudson-Chatham Winery now! It is open for year-round wine tasting! There are also many events throughout the year.

Adair Vineyards

You’ll find Adair Vineyards located in the historic Hudson Valley. Many do not know that in addition to explorers, soldiers and artists that made it famous, the Hudson Valley was once thriving with grape growing! Wine making faded in importance during the Prohibition, but is making a dramatic comeback. Adair Vineyards is happy to be a part of that. Visitors to Adair Vineyards can wander the fields and vineyards. Their 10-acres of vines are composed of two white varieties: Seyval Blanc and Vignoles, and two red varieties: Foch and Millot. They currently produce more than 20,000 bottles and will be increasing their production!

Applewood Winery

This real farm winery in New York’s Hudson Valley features more than great wine. Try the award-winning seasonal Pumpkin Hard Cider at Applewood Winery, then sip on a Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, or barrel fermented red. Every wine is produced in a “limited edition” with almost every bottle spoken for as soon as its made.

Catskill Distilling Company

From farm to table, Catskill Distilling Company focuses on sustainability. By using ingredients from local farms they can support the agricultural community. Hand bottled, tested and analyzed, Catskill Distilling Company promises to bring a clean and pure spirit to all of their products. They are nestled right in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains.

Robibero Family Vineyards

Set on 42-acres, Robibero Family Vineyards is one of the Hudson Valley’s newest wineries. The family is hands on, from the tasting room to the wine cellar and vineyards. It’s a small boutique winery, with a main goal of producing premium artisan wines. All of the wines are hand crafted in small lots to express unique and charming vintages. They are very limited in production and are sold almost solely in their tasting room and online.

Harvest Spirits Distillery

This one is included for those who are not fans of wine, but are interested in spirits! Tours and tastings will let you see how the Harvest Spirits Distillery is run. The Harvest Spirits Farm makes vodka from the apple, nature’s most perfect fruit. They also use area pears for their Pear Brandy. Yum. The focus is primarily on vodka, but their distilling equipment can produce virtually any kind of liquor, from gin and whiskey to exotics like cachaca, agave spirits and medicinal bitters.
