Taste of HudsonHudson, New York is rich in history, art, and natural beauty. You can tour Olana State Historic Site, visit art galleries and wineries, shop 65 antique dealers, or take in the great outdoors. There’s hiking, biking, skiing and fishing available, and plenty of festivals going on each month of the year. September is an ideal time to visit Hudson, New York, and perhaps that’s why the month is filled with fun events.

The first event is the Taste of Hudson, which is back Saturday, September 7. You do not want to miss this annual event! Now in it’s fifth year, Taste of Hudson will provide samples from dozens of restaurants, cafes and food emporiums. It promises 20 plus delicious vendors at the annual celebration.

Here are a few eateries that will be featured at the 2013 Taste of Hudson:

American Glory

Specializing in wood smoked and classic American comfort foods, American Glory prides itself on legendary American barbecue.

Baba Louie’s Pizza

Delicious and nutritious sourdough pizza crusts are paired with the freshest veggies, fruits, meats and cheeses at Baba Louie’s. They offer both classic and creative combinations, and their handmade soups are always vegan!

Vico Restaurant and Bar

This regional Italian restaurant puts an emphasis on traditional and modern Tuscan cuisine. It’s sure to satisfy your taste buds.

These are just a mere sampling of the many excellent eateries that will be set up at Taste of Hudson. Another great part about this event is admission is free! You will only pay for the food you purchase. Prices will vary, but some vendors have offerings from $1 to $3! You’ll purchase your “BeLo Bucks” when you arrive at the entrance. This makes it easier on vendors, so they don’t have to handle money and make change.

The list of sponsors for Taste of Hudson goes on and on, and includes but is not limited to Columbia County, Belo3rd, Tanzy’s, Olde Hudson, Clean Images, Valley Mortgage Company Inc., Antonio’s Fried Dough and The Secret Gardener.

The Taste of Hudson will go on under the tent, rain or shine. It will be held between 2nd and 3rd on Warren Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on September 7, 2013.
